Why does screening matter?

The ASQ screening helps families and teachers work together to focus on children's strengths and weaknesses for specific skills. They are able to identify more closely where children may need help with certain skills over the other.

Visit this link to learn more about why screening is important and the reason it is given at an early age:

How are specific ASQ assessments assigned to students?

The ASQ Calculator can be used to check which ASQ is appropriate for each student according to their age on the date of administration.

Enter in the student’s info that is required under the ASQ Age Calculator (enter in “0 weeks” for weeks premature) and the calculator will calculate the correct assessment in months for you.

What if I have more questions about the ASQ?

For additional questions concerning an ASQ or if your ASQ form to input the students’ scores isn’t working correctly, please contact Michele Poon at at the Early Education Department Central Office.
