3.3.7 Kindergarten To College Program and Opt-Out Form

Kindergarten To College Program and Opt-Out Form

The City & County of San Francisco's Kindergarten to College (K2C) program, in partnership with San Francisco Unified School District, will automatically open a college savings account with a $50 deposit for each student entering kindergarten or a program grade in SFUSD.

To open the K2C account, SFUSD will share, confidentially, your student’s name, student ID number, school, address, telephone number and birthdate with the San Francisco Treasurer's Office, the financial partner, Citibank, and administrative partner(s) solely for opening and maintaining the account.

To learn more about K2C, please visit www.k2csf.org, call 3-1-1 (in SF) or 415-701-2311 or email k2c@sfgov.org.   You can also scan the QR code in the K2C General Info forms in this folder

Families who want to OPT OUT and do NOT want SFUSD to share this information to open an account can find OPT OUT Forms in this folder.

Families must download, complete and mail the OPT OUT form to the address below by September 30th of the fall semester (or by January 31st if your student enrolls in SFUSD after September). Families can mail the form at any time if you choose to opt out after an account has been opened for your student.
