Cantonese Language Programs

Instruction is 70% in Cantonese, 30% in English. All students eligible.

Students build a strong foundation in Cantonese in the early grades while gradually increasing English instruction and developing academic proficiency in both languages in the upper grades. All students eligible.

Biliteracy programs are designed for English Learners who are native speakers of Cantonese. Instruction received in Cantonese gradually decreases with English being the primary language for instruction.

Open to English Learners who are native Cantonese speakers, bilingual students (Cantonese and English), and English proficient students who demonstrate grade level proficiency in the language assessment.
